Equion coup

John Laing's accommodation investments subsidiary Equion is preferred bidder on a £300 million PFI deal to build a hospital near Falkirk in Scotland for the NHS Forth Valley Trust.

Laing O'Rourke is expected to begin construction work on the scheme in 2007.

Equion beat Skanska to the deal.
