Ex-Crown md heads Kilpatrick

FORMER Crown House managing director John Moore has been appointed managing director of Balfour Kilpatrick.

The move will mark a return to Balfour Kilpatrick for Mr Moore, who worked for 25 years at the firm before his two-year stint heading Crown House, which was bought by Laing O'Rourke for £17million in May.

Mr Moore takes up the role in August and succeeds Mike Peasland, who has become managing director of Mansell, which Balfour Beatty acquired for £42 million last November.

Balfour Beatty chief executive Mike Welton said: 'His familiarity with and experience of Balfour Kilpatrick's business and his understanding of the engineering services sector as a whole give him a unique credential for the role.'

Laing O'Rourke declined to comment on who would replace Mr Moore at Crown House.
