Exmouth lifeboat station plans approved

East Devon District Council has approved plans for a new Royal National Lifeboat Institution lifeboat station on Exmouth seafront.

The charity now hopes to start building the facility, which will house both the inshore and all weather lifeboats, next spring.

The plans have been drawn up by the Bazeley Partnership in Bude in conjunction with Hampshire-based consulting engineers Opus International UK Ltd.

Work is due to begin next spring, and will take 12 months to complete.
