Firms fined

NEWS - IN BRIEF

Pellikaan Construction was fined £45,000 at Stevenage Magistrates' Court last week after labourer Calum Redman, 36, was buried under falling debris when the floor of a leisure centre in Hertfordshire collapsed in November 2004. And CMK Treatments was fined £10,000 at West Bromwich Magistrates' Court after employee Peter Finnan suffered multiple fractures when trapped under badlystacked aluminium.
