Firms join up for bridge jobs

Structural repair firm Maintenance & Restoration Services Ltd (MARS) has teamed with construction ties manufacturer Helifix to bid for work revamp stone arch bridges

MARS Structures, which will be formally launched by both companies at next week's Civils 2007 exhibition, will carry out structural surveys, designed in-house repairs and installation work.

The company will use Helifix's range of helical steel ties, fixings and reinforcing bars, with MARS operatives carrying out the work.

The pair have worked over 200 bridges in the UK and overseas already.
