Fitzgerald bags Brum award

PEOPLE

CIVIL engineering specialist Fitzgerald Contractors has won the Considerate Contractors Gold Award from Birmingham City Council in recognition of exceptional working practices on infrastructure jobs across the city.

Chairman Mike Rolls said: 'Councils and the public across the country have a right to expect the highest standards from the contractors working on their streets.

'As a company we are committed to the highest level of service delivery and have been in the running for this award a number of times.

'To win is proof of our commitment to good working practice.

'The industry as a whole is often criticised for poor working practices on site.

'We believe that effective performance on site depends on a well trained workforce that is able to manage local customer interfaces and create a safe environment to deliver a quality product.'
