Five more school rebuilds on the drawingboard in Edinburgh

Feasibility studies for five school rebuilds have been submitted to the Scottish Government by the Edinburgh city council.

The studies have been carried out on Portobello, James Gillespie's and Boroughmuir High Schools, St John's Primary and St Crispin's school.

The council has allocated £33 million to the projects – about 20 per cent of the estimated total cost.

Detailed business cases for each of the sites are expected to be completed by June.
