Flood defences to be discussed

Plans are to be discussed for flood defence work in Norfolk designed to protect marshland habitats, the A47 and the railway line into Yarmouth.

The £120 million project will run along a 16 km stretch of the River Bure from Acle dyke to the outskirts of Yarmouth.

The Broads Authority's planning committee is being recommended to approve the work at its meeting on Friday.
