Forcible evacuation of Gaza settlers begins

Hundreds of troops, escorted by bulldozers, marched in formation through Gaza's largest settlement, Neve Dekalim, and the Israeli army confirmed that the forcible evacuation of Gaza's settlers had begun.
Troops also marched to the entrance of the Jewish settlement of Morag, in southern Gaza, and began an attempt to negotiate with settlers there, the army said.

A dozen Morag residents climbed onto rooftops, and protesters at the entrance set up makeshift barricades with overturned rubbish containers, shrubbery and rocks.
