Four bidders left on East London Line

FOUR teams of contractors have been selected for the bidding stage of the £1 billion extension of the East London Line.

The joint venture partnerships currently battling it out for the main works contract are: Hochtief/Siemens/Kellog Brown and Root; Mowlem/Parsons; Amec/Laing O'Rourke/Arup and Balfour Beatty/Carillion.

The teams were narrowed down from a list of 13 following the pre-qualification stage in July.

Taylor Woodrow is currently carrying out the enabling works for the line.
