Four Cats in line-up

CATERPILLAR is adding four machines to its 3 Series excavator range. The smallest of these models is the 307, which weighs 7.65 tonnes and replaces the old E70B.

The 315 and 317 weigh around 15 and 17 tonnes respectively and fit in the range between the existing 312 and 320. Biggest of these new 3 series excavators is the 322 (pictured below) which weighs up to 25 tonnes, depending on the tracks, boom and dipper specified.

Low exhaust and noise emission versions of the Cat 325 and 950F wheeled loaders have also been developed. The 938F wheeled loader fits into a new size category for Cat and is offered with engines delivering either 124 or 149 PS. And the 924F is available in wheeled loader or tool carrier form and replaces the old 918F.

Caterpillar is bringing out a new range of articulated dump trucks and will show the first of these machines, the 22.8 tonne capacity D250E which has a 260 PS engine.

The larger D350 and D400 machines are expected later in the year.

And with a lift capacity of 3 tonnes and a power output of 80 PS, the TH63 is the first and smallest in a series of five telehandlers from the firm.
