FOUR contractors are in the queue for a £35 million deal to redevelop an office block in Birmingham for developer Saxan Securities.

Balfour Beatty, HBG, Kier subsidiary Moss and Sir Robert McAlpine have received tender documents and are working up bids for the June 16 deadline.

The job is being let as a design and construct contract. An award is expected this summer with a start on site pencilled in for October. Work is expected to take two years.
