Four more occupations join CSCS

Industry training body CITB-ConstructionSkills has introduced four new occupations to the CSCS skills card scheme.
Communications technology supervisors, metal roofing contractors, heavy timber frame carpenters and insulating panel installers can now apply for the CSCS card, which covers 236 occupations.

A gold card will be available to communications technology supervisors with experienced operatives for the other three occupations eligible for blue cards. Red cards are available for trainees and applicants for all cards must pass the construction health and safety test.

Over 800,000 construction workers have been issued with CSCS cards.
