Four named on £75m eastern highways framework

Tarmac has been named as one of four contractors on the £75 million eastern highways alliance framework.

Osborne, Jackson and Eurovia have also won places on the four-year framework made up of nine councils.

The councils are Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, Luton, Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Essex and Southend on Sea.

The framework has now started and will run until May 2016, with work set to include highway improvements, highways works, town centre improvements, drainage and various other infrastructure projects.

Tarmac National Contracting and Middle East managing director Paul Fleetham said: “This is the latest in a series of major contract wins for Tarmac. It reflects our strong track record of working in collaboration with local authorities to successfully manage, maintain and add value to their highways assets.”
