Four to share £315m

FOUR firms have been appointed for a £315 million framework agreement with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to revamp the area's housing stock.

Henry Boot, Connaught, Rok and Keepmoat subsidiary Bramall will all carry out the improvement works over a four-year period to bring the housing stock in line with the Government's Decent Homes standard by 2010.

The four will work for arms length management organisation 2010 Rotherham, which will oversee the upgrade of the council's 23,000-strong housing stock.
