Freight salvage

Amey has won a £27 million contract to turn a disused freight railway in South Wales into a passenger line. The firm will work for Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and Newport councils. The project will see trains running from Ebbw Vale to Cardiff and Newport with a new station built at Ebbw Vale.
