Furlong splits into two divisions

Furlong has restructured into two separate divisions - Furlong Homes and Furlong City.
Both arms are managed by the same board but will remain as two distinct brands with Furlong Homes focused on bespoke developments and Furlong City on inner city schemes.

Furlong is based in Waltham Cross, London, and became part of the Gladedale Group in June 2000.

Managing director, Mark Pedley, said: 'We have a unique range of specialist skills within the company which allows us to create a diverse range of developments ranging from 14 storey apartment blocks in Canary Wharf to family homes in a picturesque seaside village.'

Royal Quay is the flagship development for Furlong City, in partnership with London Development Agency, which will create 447 homes plus the refurbishment of the former hotel into offices, restaurant, bar and gymnasium.

Work is currently on-going on phase two of the £100 million project which is set for completion in November 2006.

Mr Pedley said: 'We are already planning for developments in 2007 with work well underway on acquiring sites to boost the company's land bank.

'We are committed to producing quality homes for our customers through innovation that complements its environment and affirms the Furlong identity in every development that we create.'
