The UK cement industry has reduced carbon dioxide emissions from its plants by almost 20 per cent over the past seven years, the latest cement industry performance report claims. Published by the British Cement Association the Performance report claimed that new, modern plants including Castle Cements Padeswood plant in north Wales (pictured) helped the industry cut carbon emissions.
