Gas price hit


Rising gas prices have hammered profitability at Baggeridge. The UK's fourth largest brickmaker made a pre-tax profit of just £340,000 in the six months to March 2006, down from £2.1 million a year ago, despite a rise in turnover of £1.3 million to £25 million.
