Gehl is unveiling a new product range at SED this year. The Gehlmax tracked dumper range extends in operating weight from 0.3 tonnes to 1.1 tonnes and is aimed at a variety of applications where small loads must be transported over rough terrain.

The smallest of these machines is the RD 6, a walkbehind model which has a maximum payload of 550 kg.

Powered by a Honda petrol engine, this machine can negotiate slopes of up to 25 per cent.

The RD 8 is the middle sized machine, weighing 570 kg with a 800 kg payload. A high-tip version with a 650 mm dumpover height is also available.

The largest in the range is the RD15, a ride-on model with a payload capacity of 1,550 kg.

Also at SED this year is Gehl's SL7800 which the German firm says is the world's biggest skidsteer.

Weighing in at over 4 tonnes, this machine has a maximum lift capacity of 1.6 tonnes and can travel at up to 18 km/h.

Aimed mainly at the road construction and shiptrimming sectors, the SL7800 is capable of carrying a wide range of heavy-duty hydraulic attachments.
