Geography job in Leeds

The University of Leeds has a £9.5m job on offer to relocate its geography department.

It will let a single stage design and build contract worth between £7.5-9.5m to move the department from its existing premises to new facilities in the university’s Garstang, Manton and Miall buildings.

Works using some 5,500 sq ms of floorspace will include for new laboratories, teaching facilities, academic offices, offices and common areas, and provision of refurbished offices for School of Earth and Environment.

A planning application will be made this autumn, after which the university expects to award a tender in December and to start the 60-weeks job in April 2013.
