Gleeson boosts top team

Private contractor Gleeson has drafted in two new directors to bolster its senior management team.

The firm has appointed Jose Castillo-Bernaus joins as design director from Bovis Lend Lease, and Bernard Thomas becomes cost planning director after leaving Laing O'Rourke.

Caroline Morrissey also joins as human resources manager and Louise Ebrey becomes business improvement manager.

Chief executive Martin Smout led a management buy out of the company from the struggling MJ Gleeson group last year.
