Gleeson nets three partnering deals

GLEESON has clinched three partnering deals worth more than 45 million in total.

The biggest project, with property company Fiortho, features a 300-bed hotel at Manchester Airport for Intercontinental Hotels.

The scheme, which will start on site in May and is due for completion in two years, includes substantial public open spaces, a health centre and possibly a conference centre.

The second deal involves Southern Water and up to 11 million worth of modifications to the East Worthing water treatment works in West Sussex. Work on this scheme is expected to start soon.

And Lynton, the property investment arm of airports operator BAA, has signed a partnering deal with Gleeson.

Work involoves building an 11,500 sq m office complex at Wexham Springs, Buckinghamshire.

Work on site has just begun and completion is due in December 1997.
