Grand theft case


BRITAIN'S biggest plant theft trial opened at St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday with two men accused of conspiracy to handle up to £2.5 million worth ofstolen equipment. Gary Garrard of Blackmore, Essex, and Michael Komaroni ofChalton, Bedfordshire, were charged as part ofthe Police National Crime Squad's Operation Eclipse, which has been targeting the alleged nationwide theft ofmachinery and its export to Israel.
