Grove sale 'in three months'

HANSON expects to be able to make an announcement on the sale of Grove Worldwide within the next two to three months, the company's chief executive revealed at the Interbuilld exhibition in Birmingham's NEC last week.

Andrew Dougal said that with almost record profits at Hanson it was 'a good time to sell' the crane and access company, which does not fit in with the material focus of the rest of the Hanson businesses. Speculation as to the imminent sale was sparked off by the announcement of the departure of Robert Hanson, who has been in charge of the disposal.
