Haulotte to access UK rental deal?

FRENCH access manufacturer Haulotte is considering introducing a rental option in the UK.

Haulotte UK sales manager Harry Cocks said the company is looking at the possibility of introducing six-monthly rolling rental contracts, a move in response to calls from major hirers wanting flexibility in the face of unpredictable demand.

Haulotte has also launched a new 16 m self-propelled boom, the HA16PX, which is aimed at the high-volume end of the market (by way of scale, one UK hirer has 1,600 16 m booms in its fleet).

The new machine, featuring a 140 deg jib, will spearhead Haul-otte's drive to double its European market share of self-propelled platforms to 25 per cent by 2001.
