HBG wins £50m Friarsgate contract

HBG Construction has won a £50 million contract to design and construct the Friarsgate development in Lichfield City Centre.

The project is part of a £100 million scheme by developer S Harrison Developments that includes a two-level car park, 96-bed hotel, retail and residential units, leisure space and offices.

Works include highway realignments and the relocation of the existing bus and police stations.

HBG Construction Midlands has also won a separate £3.1 million contract to construct a new administration block for Lichfield police, the relocation being part of the Friarsgate development.
