HCA in talks with TfL over Gateway options

The Homes and Communities Agency has revealed it is in talks with Transport for London over potential transport options to the Barking and Barking Riverside areas in the Thames Gateway.

HCA London regional director David Lunts said: "The Mayor's announcement on the Docklands Light Railway extension to Barking does have a bearing on how far we can go with the development.

"But we are in talks about what can be done and we will have options in the next couple of months."

Earlier this month the Mayor of London Boris Johnson scrapped the £750 million DLR extension as part of a wider plan to cut costs at TfL.
