HCA to have a regional focus

The Homes and Communities Agency will work on a regional as well as national basis to ensure a close relationship to the areas it will serve.

Speaking at the Thames Gateway Forum Sir Bob Kerslake revealed that three regional posts have been appointed serving the London, South-east and East.

Taking up the East will be design champion for the Thames Gateway Sir Terry Farrell, whose role has also been extended to take on the economical and social development of the Gateway.

All regional directors and Sir Bob will report into the HCAs national board, as well as a dedicated London board to be chaired by the Mayor of London Boris Johnson.

Eamonn Boylane will act as HCA deputy chief executive and Paul Hudson will work as Thames Gateway director.
