Heathrow dispute: Parties resume talks

Top-level talks aimed at resolving the bitter dispute at Heathrow airport will continue today, despite negotiations ending acrimoniously.
A meeting between catering firm Gate Gourmet and the Transport and General Workers' Union ended in confusion and anger last night, but the company said afterwards it was looking forward to continuing negotiations.

Chairman David Siegel said he would continue to study 'compromise proposals' and said enough progress had been made to lift the imminent threat of the company going into administration.
