Horbury scoops three contracts

Rotherham-based construction firm Horbury Group has snapped up three building contracts in Liverpool and Sheffield totalling £5 million.

Horbury Building Systems – the firm’s drylining and partition wing – will construct steel frame systems, partitions, drylining and suspended ceilings on the 32-storey City Lofts development in St Paul's Place in Sheffield. The 100 metre high-rise is the city’s tallest building.

In a separate deal worth £980,000 Horbury Group’s joinery arm MWS Joinery will install doors, frames, skirting boards, window boards, ironmongery, stair strings and walnut steps in the penthouses.

HBS has also won a £2.3 million contract from Kier Build to help complete the £40 million Hilton Hotel development in Liverpool’s Albert Dock.
