Hospital boon

Health secretary John Reid gave the goahead for a bumper £4 billion plan for 15 new NHS hospital projects in England this week.The Government claimed that the new money brought the total investment into new hospitals since Labour came to power to £16 billion.The biggest investment will be on Merseyside, where £1 billion will pumped into four NHS Trusts for the construction of new mental health facilities, wards, and elective care centres.
