Housing £80 million framework advertised

A consortium of eight North West housing associations have put out a call for contractors to work on a four year, £80 million house building framework for the region.

Up to 15 firms will be invited to bid for on of six places on the framework, which is being run under the banner of JV North.

The JV North consortium features ASKA Housing Association, Eastlands Home Partnership, Helena Housing, New Charter Housing Trust Group, Parkway Green Housing Trust, Trafford Housing Trust, Weaver Housing Trust and Willow Park Housing Trust.

The framework will be used by each organisation to select - either directly or by mini-competition - firms to build new build homes, flats and bungalows in their area.

The associations are spread geographically across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside.

Expressions of interest from interested firms must be submitted to the JV’s consultants Stockport-based Saffer Cooper by 18 March.

A similar framework for small works, value between £200,000 and £1.75 million has also been advertised.
