Housing framework sought by Stockton

Stockton-On-Tees Borough Council is seeking builders to join an affordable housing framework contract.

The work, which has no value specified, will involve construction of both flats and houses on at least 14 sites that the council has earmarked as suitable for new homes, together with project and design preparation and project management services.

No set number of new homes is specified in the framework. But the council said its strategic housing market assessment this year identified a requirement for at least 560 affordable new homes per year over the next five years
