The Health and Safety Executive is hosting a free breakfast seminar in Bolton this month for roofing contractors across the North West.

Greater Manchester-based inspector Anna Bliss that of the 29 people killed working in construction in the North West the past three years, one in seven was a roof worker, "all of whom worked for themselves or for a small company".

"We are running this seminar to help roofers get the right safety precautions in place and prevent an accident," Ms Bliss said.

Places are limited for the breakfast, scheduled for 8am on Thursday, October 25. Information from Nicola Willcox on 0161 952 8328.
