Hull £120m development plans revealed

Plans for a £120 million development in Beverley, near Hull, have been unveiled to the public.

Developers Wykeland Group, CP Group and Quintain Estates and Developments showed off their revamped plans for the 16-acre former Clariant chemical factory site in Flemingate.

The trio had to abandon their original New York grid-like street design in favour of a traditional market town layout.

Plans for the development include 161 carbon friendly homes, restaurants, shops, a cinema, hotel, conference facilities and offices.

East Riding Council will decide on planning permission for the project in the coming months.
