Hull gets road repair funding

Hull will receive £665,000 of new Government funding to help repair roads damaged by last year's floods transport minister Paul Clark announced today.

Mr Clark said: "We have been working closely with the councils affected since last year's floods to help them identify what repairs are needed. This money is in addition to the £40 million we have made available to councils so that they can carry out this important repair work.

This money is part of a comprehensive package of support which the Government has made available to flood-hit communities to help them recover following last year's floods.

This new funding brings the total support provided for local authorities to £136 million over the last year.
