MATERIALS

A FINE MESH: A worker from Enfield-based concrete subcontractor Ardmore Construction unhooks a stack of rebar mesh for use on the £60 million Croydon Centrale shopping centre scheme in Croydon, south London. Around 40,000 tonnes of concrete will be used on the Bovis Lend Lease scheme, due for completion in late 2003.
