In brief Basin revamp


THE FIRST phase of a £2 billion regeneration project in west London was launched yesterday (Wednesday) by waterways minister Lord Whitty. The £300 million development of Paddington Basin involves drainage work to make way for a commercial and residential scheme in a joint venture between Chelsfield and European Land and Property Developments.
