Vibroplant vote

VIBROPLANT shareholders have voted in favour of the disposal of its US plant subsidiary, American Hi-Lift.

The firms chief operating officer, Ron Hewitt, and non-executive director, Jack Mawdsley, are leaving the board.

Torex profit

TOREX Hire, the West Country tool hirer, has unveiled a pre-tax profit of 527,000 for the 14 months to December, compared with 471,000 for the year to October 1994.

Rentair buyout

DIRECTORS at Rentair have bought out the 8 million turnover compressed air equipment hire business from parent company BET for an undisclosed sum.

The former BET Plant Services chairman, Bill Boulton, becomes chairman and chief executive.

Mowlem boost

MOWLEMs South-West construction subsidiary, E Thomas Construction, has increased its turnover by 18 per cent to
