Glynwed Foundries

fills pipework order

GLYNWED Foundries has supplied over 2,000 m of Ensign pipework for the 545,800 repair and refurbishment contract on the drainage of the Neath River Bridge in South Wales.

Contractor Dean & Dyball installed the 150 mm and 200 mm diameter black coated pipes. The work is in preparation for the linking of the A48, which runs over the bridge, with the M4 extension.

Site placements

THE Steel Construction Institute (SCI) is looking for site placements for two of its young engineers within the next six months. They need site experience as part of their training for chartered status with the Institute of Civil Engineers.

Hoogovens on show

HOOGOVENS Aluminium Building Systems has opened a showroom at the Business Design Centre in London.

The company is based in St Helens and has set up the facility in London to show southern and international clients its wares. Hoogovens specialises in standing seam cladding. Its Kal-Zip system has been used on Manchester Airport Station and The John Moores University Enterprise Centre in Liverpool.
