Investor call for business parks

Scottish Enterprise is calling for potential development partners to invest in two business parks at Aberdeen.

The Government-funded economic development agency is inviting bids from contractors to become part of a joint-venture programme which will be responsible for new infrastructure at two science-based parks at the Bridge of Don area, north of the city.

The Science and Energy Park will cover 29ha and has 7ha of land ready for development while the 24ha Science and Technology Park has about 3ha earmarked for new business sites.

The agency says the joint-venture partner will handle work valued anywhere between £10 million and £100 million over six years.

It will invite between five and 10 bidders to tender for the deal. The deadline for requests to participate is Monday 21 April.
