Iraq kidnapping of peace activists condemned

The kidnapping of peace activist Norman Kember and three other Westerners in Iraq was denounced by the Foreign Office as video footage showing the men was screened on Arab TV.
The footage showed Mr Kember and his colleagues sitting side by side. A close up of the Briton's passport was also shown.

The video, which was screened by Al-Jazeera last night, was apparently shot by a previously unknown group called the Swords of Righteousness Brigade, who accused the four of being spies masquerading as Christian peace activists.
