Jarvis nets universities

JARVIS has won three facilities management contracts worth more than £100 million under its university partnerships scheme.

It has an FM and maintenance contract at Manchester Student Village overseeing 1,000 bedrooms and 17 common rooms. The 30-year deal is expected to have a whole-life cost of £83 million.

Jarvis's other awards are for the universities of Reading and Plymouth. The FM work at Reading is expected to cost £37 million over 30 years.

At Plymouth, the contractor will look after Radnor Hall. The value of the scheme has not been disclosed.
