Jarvis tipped for return to profits

Beleaguered rail outfit Jarvis is set to return to profit when it announces its annual report tomorrow according to analysts.

The firm has been beset by a series of problems including the Potters Bar rail tragedy, which occurred on a section of track maintained by the firm, and a disastrous exit from bidding for Private Finance Initiative contracts which edged the business close to bankruptcy in 2004.

Last November the firm reported an interim loss of £3.3 million but analyst Brewer Dolphin has tipped the firm to unveil annual profits of £5.5 million tomorrow.
