JCB hires ex-Land Rover boss

PLANT

JCB HAS appointed a Matthew Taylor as managing director of its sales operation.

Mr Taylor, who was managing director of Land Rover for five years, takes over from Francoise Rausch, who has overseen sales growth over the past four years. Ms Rausch continues as an executive director of the division, where she will 'spearhead elements of JCB's ambitious growth plans', taking initial responsibility for the French market.

John Patterson, JCB chief executive, said: 'It is a measure of our success that we have been able to recruit someone of Matthew's calibre. Our sales performance is a tribute to Francoise's energy and dedication and I am pleased JCB will continue to benefit from her skill.'
