JCB rebuffs talk

PLANT giant JCB has dismissed speculation that it is about to shake up its top tier of management and that John Patterson is set to step down as chief executive.

The company recently appointed David Miller as group finance director after reporting a 54 per cent drop in profits to £49.6 million last year despite record sales of £889.4 million.
