JLP says flats are a priority

FINANCE

STUART Miller has been promoted to the new post of deputy managing director at social housing contractor John Laing Partnerships, which expects to turnover £55 million this year.

Mr Miller will help managing director Peter Taylor, who led a management buyout of JLP from John Laing plc last September.Mr Taylor said: 'We are launching a private-housing-for-sale business for one or two bedroom flats with an average price of £200,000.'

JLP has started on a 13-flat scheme in north London and first sales are due in January.
