Joined paving

German concrete equipment specialist Optimas has launched a machine to fill in joints between paving slabs.

The Optimas Mini uses two rotating brushes to apply a mixture of sand and water between the slabs, allowing the user to fill in joints across smaller pavement areas in a single cycle. The firm says completely filled joints avoid displacement laid slabs and that use of the 67 kg 3.7 kW machine reduces the risks of manual handling.
