Keller gets on the right track

KELLER has taken one of its biggest overseas contracts, a 12 million deal in the US with the New Jersey Transit Authority to construct 226 large-diameter caisson foundations at a new passenger transfer station in Secaucus, New Jersey.

The foundations will need to be up to 20 m in depth and the new station will allow passengers to transfer easily between Amtrak and New Jersey rail services. The project is part of a wider plan to upgrade rail services on the east coast.

Kellers US subsidiary, the Case Foundation Company, will carry out the work and start on site in September. The project is expected to take about a year to complete.
